Went here to support independent artists and SoundSplore at WFNM (We Found New Music) on a Monday night. Great to see the community of artists and fans and the filled room with people in the hallway between the back stage room and main bar room. There was no cover for WFNM which is appreciated, and while I didn’t drink, others in my group enjoyed the drinks and friendliness of the bartenders. Ultimately a strong recommendation for good vibes, rising independent talent, and a social or romantic atmosphere on a weeknight.
The acoustics in this spot are the bomb. Also, I had two gin and tonics and they were fantastic but I swear that's not why I think the acoustics were the bomb they really were. Parking was not difficult, I actually managed to park around the corner for $Free.99. There's a little courtyard at the front which was a lovely place to have a cigarette and then there's the front bar area and then there's the back and it's the back where the live music was and the, acoustics previously mentioned, were super great! There was a cover for the back part of the bar and I did not have cash but that was fine. They can take a credit card at the bar which was super convenient because I almost stopped to get cash and I was already running late and I didn't need it in the end so I was super pleased with that. Also, if you've never heard of Donny Daydream, check him out. His music is legit and he has the coolest belt buckle you have ever seen (not shown here).
The staff was friendly and helpful. I came in for their comedy night and was pleasantly surprised with their photobooth. They have a variety of drinks and seating options including a small patio out front.
Cute bar with a really fun prohibition era vibe! Bianca the bartender is always on point and so sweet! I’m here once or twice a month for the really fun themed drag and burlesque shows in the back ‘speakeasy’ style area!
One of the worst experiences I’ve had at a bar. I accidentally touched an orange that was sitting on the bar. As soon as I realized it might have been a mistake, I immediately apologized multiple times and took full responsibility. Instead of handling the situation professionally, the bartender and the security guard Brian became extremely aggressive and confrontational. Brian spoke to me in a disrespectful and insulting manner, and the entire situation escalated for no reason. Despite my repeated apologies and calm attitude, I was treated like a criminal and eventually removed from the venue over something that could have been resolved with a simple conversation. The issue was never the orange. The issue was how Brian and the bartender chose to treat a customer who was being respectful and apologetic. Their behavior seemed completely unprofessional, emotionally unstable, and far out of proportion to what actually happened. I will not be returning and would not recommend this place to anyone expecting basic respect from staff.
