The staff were kind and compassionate when I picked up our dear cat's ashes which were ready. This was almost a week prior to the estimated time frame we were given at the vet ER which was quite helpful as we did not have to wait to bring our baby home. The urn and paw print were as advertised and a lovely certificate of cremation was included in the package we received.
*****update***** Ok I’ve calmed down. We got her home, and they did a beautiful job with her. She was handled with care, and that means a lot to me. I feel much better about everything now. I still don’t love the switch from personal delivery to USPS, and I do think vets should be clearly informed of the process so it’s communicated correctly. But at least now I know what to expect, and my girl is home. ***************** I used this company previously when one of my dogs passed, and I received her ashes within two days, hand-delivered by someone who called ahead to make sure I was home. That level of care is exactly why I chose Pet Angel Memorial Center again. This time was the complete opposite. Instead of the same thoughtful service, my dog’s ashes were shipped through USPS almost a week later. I was not informed ahead of time that this would be the delivery method—I was told by the vet that I would receive a call to coordinate delivery. Instead, I only found out through a tracking system after she had already been shipped. Now I’m left dealing with a USPS system mess trying to locate and retrieve something that should have been handled with care from the start. This is not a minor inconvenience, nor is it just a package...its my dog we are talking about. I am extremely upset because I was never told the process had changed and if I had known you switched from personal delivery to standard shipping, I would have made different arrangements or picked her up myself. Choosing to send something this personal through USPS without notice shows a complete lack of care and judgment, especially when USPS is notorious for being terrible and hard to reach if there is a problem. If your process has changed, that needs to be clearly communicated to the vets you partner with so clients are not blindsided during an already difficult time. Because of this experience, I will not be using this company again.
Just got my best friend back after his passing. I’m very impressed how he was taken care. I received back his ashes in a beautiful wooden box along with a certificate of cremation. My cat will always be with me. Thank you for taking such good care of him.
My vet Gulfshore Veterinary Hospital delivered my Great Pyrenees Yolo to you on Monday the 17th of November. To my surprise Yolo’s ashes were returned to us within 24 hours. My boy was home again. They gave him such a beautiful wooden box and I just felt like he was treated with such dignity after I saw the delivery. I wasn’t there to meet you in person but I thank you for taking such great care in honoring our boys life and sending him back home so quickly
Grieving for a pet is the hardest, but being able to say a final farewell is a big part of the process. I am grateful for the opportunity it was giving to me today to spent one more time with my big boy. Melissa at the Fort Myers location was extremely kind and has a huge heart.
