Atmosphere was wonderful. It is a vibrant and lively restaurant with great decor. Drinks were fantastic. Food was underwhelming. We had a variety of items including the ceviche, calamari, a sushi roll and Brussels sprouts. The presentation was fantastic and very visually pleasing. Definitely Instagram worthy but the food was not something I would want to experience again. Highly recommend for drinks. Everyone's tastes are different. It was worth trying but we will not be back again.

Solange was our server for Happy Hour and she was really sweet from the beginning. Atmosphere was great here and accommodating since we had our child with us. Happy hour is definitely worth it and the drinks were surprisingly really well crafted. Only thing that we wouldn't recommend was the oysters we had weren't very good and the shells were broken quite a bit and ended up all over the oysters as we were trying to dig it out. Would recommend the lamb for sure!

The food is good. The lamb lollipop is tasty. The Royce Roy roll’s favor is heavy on the waygu beef on top of roll. The fatty flavor and the melt-in-mouth feeling is amazing. It’s balanced out well by the onion tempora. The onion tempora is well made, not greasy, and a great palette cleaner between pieces. The place is pricy though. Also the seating is limited. Booking ahead is recommended.

We were blown away by the decor in this restaurant. Everything is done to the 9s! You really feel like you’re in a beautiful jungle as soon as you enter. The cocktails were great! And the food was yummy though the sauces overall were a bit sweet. Drinks: The tipsy pirate- super delicious but kinda tastes like a mojito, it is very well balanced. This was definitely my favorite of the drinks we tried. Zamatini - Fruity but suuuper sweet. The top is super pretty though Guava sour- good, definitely sour. More balanced than the zamatini for sure Food: Calamari - the sauce is good but I felt some of the pieces were a bit chewy/overcooked. The rings were better cooked than the tentacle pieces Shrimp al fuego - this one was good, nicely cooked, i love how crispy the breading is. This one is also sweet. I was expecting some spice based on the name Pulpo (octopus) - the sauce was unexpectedly sweet, the larger pieces were too chewy for me. I didnt taste the chimichuri despite dipping it because the orange sauce was a bit overpowering Yellowfin Ahi Tostaditos - these are actually SO good. The fish is fresh with the perfect amount of sour and sauce. Both of us thought this was the best thing we had today Pom passion - this roll is pretty sweet and on top of that, the inside is nothing special. I was thinking it would have fresh pomegranate seeds on top which would be very refreshing. The pomegranate sauce on its own is actually very interesting and has a little spice that I didnt taste when it was on the sushi. I think it was ultimately too delicate for this roll. This would be good on a dessert or mayybe a crudo since the flavor is more delicate. Overall the food definitely has promise and the menu items all looked very interesting. I think with some tweaking this menu could be stellar! My only other comment is about the atmosphere. The chairs dont have great back support and the tables are also quite packed together. Once a table was seated behind us I could hear their entire conversation. I assume they must get pretty busy, but the day/time we were there it was pretty slow. Overall the experience was still really great and the jungle theme was so immersive, we definitely want to come back in the future since they’re so new and probably still perfecting their menu.

We had an amazing experience at Zama in San Diego! Our server, Jesus, was absolutely fantastic—his service was outstanding from start to finish. The food was amazing, every dish full of flavor and beautifully presented. The ambiance is great, making it the perfect spot for a night out. This is a must-go-to when in San Diego. Highly recommend!
